Dates! 11 Oct 18 Oct 25 Oct 1 Nov 2 week break 22 Nov 29 Nov In this 6 week class you will learn the fundamentals of throwing, Health and safety, how to prepare your clay for throwing, how to center your clay on the wheel, how to make cylinders and bowls, decorating techniques, and how to glaze. No previous pottery experience is needed. 6 Weeks of classes, plus a pickup day at the end making it 7 weeks total Clay is not included in your class fee and can be purchased at class for $18.50 or you can buy it here https://www.stolenbagel.co/product-page/primo-clay-toast Firing your pieces is also not included in your class fee, usually $15-$30 over the course of the class, depending on how many pieces you make. After each class, you will be taking your creations and clay home with you! I will instruct you on how to take care of your pieces at home and when to bring them back! ~ Checklist for things to bring with you Board (Wooden is best, but it can be anything as long as it’s not flimsy. It’s for putting your pieces on after you've made them) Old towel (for putting on your lap so you don’t get as messy) Apron (so you don’t get as messy) Box (big enough to put your board into) Box of large ziplock bags ~ Recommended to cut your nails before class Pottery has many chemicals and materials that are hazardous – so if you are either pregnant or health impaired, you need to let your tutor know so that she can advise you on best practices.
