8-Week Beginner Throwing Course Ready to begin your pottery journey? This 8-week course is perfect for beginners who want to build a solid foundation on the pottery wheel. Whether you’re brand new or looking to refine your skills, this hands-on course will guide you through the essentials of wheel-throwing in a fun and supportive environment. What You’ll Learn: Fundamentals: Centering and throwing techniques. Essential forms: Create cylinders, mugs with handles, bowls, plates, and vases. Trimming and refining: Learn how to shape and finish your creations. Glazing: In the final session, explore a simple single-dipping glazing method to give your creations a beautiful finish. Course Details: Duration: 8 weeks, 2-hour sessions each week. What’s included: Firing for up to 7 pieces (additional pieces can be fired for $10 each). Cost: $380 per person. What to Bring: Wooden board, plastic bags with zipper locks, and a container box for storing your pieces. An apron and trimmed nails for comfort while working. Important Notes: Clay: Not included. You can purchase clay at the studio (10kg for $40). Safety: Pottery involves materials and chemicals that may require caution.
