Winter School Break : Throwing Class

Service Description

In this fun and hands-on 3-day school holiday programme, kids will learn the basics of wheel throwing and create their very own pottery pieces on the wheel. They'll get to explore shaping clay on the potter’s wheel, practice trimming, and decorate their favourite piece with colourful underglaze. This workshop is perfect for building confidence, coordination, and creativity in a relaxed and playful environment. What to Bring: Please make sure your child brings an apron and an old towel, and wears clothes they don’t mind getting a little messy. Don’t forget a drink bottle and a snack for morning tea. Materials Included: All clay, tools, underglaze paints, firing, and supplies are provided. Pick-Up: Finished pieces will be ready for collection 4–5 weeks after the course ends, once they’ve been glazed and fired. Let your child get muddy, have fun, and take home a beautiful handmade piece from the wheel!
